Nobody cares more about your eyes than Dr. Blaize and
his staff!
Dr. Gerald N. Blaize, Optometrist was born and raised in
the Detroit metropolitan area. After receiving a
bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University, he
pursued his Doctorate of Optometry degree at Illinois
College of Optometry. Since receiving his diploma in
1991 he has come back to Michigan and has been
practicing in the tri-county area ever since. In 1999 Dr.
Blaize started Bayview Optical in Livonia where he
provides the best possible care for each patient.
Since becoming an optometrist, Dr. Blaize has practiced in both corporate and private
practice settings. He prefers private practice where personalized care and patient
satisfaction are his main priorities. He values the individual relationships and the
rapport he develops with each patient.
Dr. Blaize has been consistently studying with top specialists so he can provide the best
possible care. In addition he has acquired the most advanced diagnostic equipment so
he can best manage and co-manage glaucoma and most other eye related diseases.
With extensive knowledge in prescribing and fitting contact lenses, Dr. Blaize is able to
determine the best possible lenses for each patient. He has broad expertise with all
contacts even for hard to fit patients. He focuses on identifying the individual needs of
each patient and choosing what is best for them. After Dr. Blaize fits the contacts he
carefully follows up to make sure all of the patient’s expectations are met.
Laurie Morris, ABOC certified optician, joined the practice to in 2008 to direct its
operations. She has had more than 20 years of optical management experience and
has obtained the highest regards in the industry. Mrs. Morris has trained dozens of
employees throughout the years. Of most importance, she not only says that customer
service is job number one, but delivers it day after day.
Our other staff members are highly trained in their areas of expertise in order to bring
you the best possible experience available anywhere.
